Woodworking strengthens children
The children learn a lot about the responsible and safe handling of tools and receive a good introduction to various craft techniques (e.g. sawing, drilling, gluing, joining wood, treating surfaces, screwing, hammering, etc.).
They learn about the importance of wood as a renewable resource and take home something they've made themselves, either as a toy for themselves or as a gift for their parents. The special feeling of having created something themselves, according to their own ideas, gives children self-confidence and makes them proud. The combination of our educational program, independent work at a safe and fully equipped workspace, and the fun of crafting makes a visit to the workshop a truly special experience.

Learning carpentry, developing fine motor skills
Working with wood offers a wonderful opportunity to create something special and design it according to one's own ideas. Skills such as fine motor skills, planning, and creativity are activated and refined. Free experimentation, trying things out, and discovery are essential when learning craft skills. The most intensive learning occurs through personal experience and one's own "mistakes." Children need time and encouragement for this. Sometimes their minds move faster than their hands. Our individual lessons support and challenge each child, whether as a supplement to occupational therapy or for particularly ambitious young carpenters. Every child is different.
