Remove the chip

Chisels are tools used to remove wood along the grain. Material can be removed more quickly than with a file, shaving off small pieces. For larger pieces, this can also be done with the help of a hammer. This allows wood to be shaped very quickly. Chisels are very sharp (and must be). We recommend their use ONLY under direct parental supervision and only for older children and teenagers.

From what age can children work with a chisel?

Chisels have very sharp points. There is a risk of injury, especially if handled incorrectly. In our opinion, this work is suitable for older children under direct parental supervision or for teenagers. Ultimately, each supervisor must assess what they consider appropriate for their children.

Are the tools also suitable for adults?
