Planes & sanders

A mouse for sanding?

Mouse sanders make sanding easier with sandpaper. While you can also wrap the paper around a piece of scrap wood or a sanding cork, clamped into the sanding block, it holds firmly and your fingers won't tire as quickly. The sanding blocks/mouse sanders are sized for children, as is the plane (careful, it's very sharp!), which is also very useful for adults. If the sandpaper wears out, there are replacement papers in the right size, or you can cut a piece from the sandpaper stock.

What are the sanding blocks for?

Sanding mice are practical tools for clamping sandpaper. Some children find sanding much easier this way. They also create a flat surface, making it easier to smooth surfaces.

Do you need a mouse sander or is sandpaper enough?

In principle, sandpaper and a cork or wooden block are fine. Sanding blocks with a holder are a practical extra.
